Behold,
the power of prayer.
With the windy
weather and power outages, our neighbors were no doubt getting nervous.
|
July 2003
Six months before we moved in and the place was covered in blackberry
bushes, dandelions and weeds in all shapes and sizes. Notice the large
stump with dead wisteria vines covering it.
|
May 2006
Here is the back yard prior to any lawn work. The exterior of the
bunny barn is complete so interior work can happen when the weather does
not support working out of doors.
|
March 2004
Three months after we moved in, all of the blackberry bushes have
been removed at the cost of two pairs of denim jeans, four pairs of gloves
and a pint or two of blood. Great winter job.
|
May 2006
The lawn after it had been aerated, top-dressed and overseeded. A
word to the wise, kill the dandelions before aerating your lawn. Otherwise,
more dandelions than before. Thanks, John.

March 2005
This previously unseen patio was used to stockpile old furniture,
rotten lumber and firewood. The fence was recycled from a former co-worker
in Bothell. Thanks, Claire.

June
2006
The lawn is starting to sprout after a few casual weeks in May of
spreading topsoil, aerating and running the irrigation system for a few
heavy days of watering.
|
January 2007
I added a small, wrap around deck to the bunny barn. The decking material
was recycled from the deck at the back of the house. Not good enough for
the house but fine for bunnies.

January 2007
A view of the bunny barn from the foot path along the slope. Eventually,
this whole area will be filled with ferns. The split rail fence was recycled
from a former employer in Bothell. Thanks, Bret.
